Randolph Police Department Investigating Shooting

RANDOLPH — Chief Anthony Marag reports that the Randolph Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday night.

At approximately 7:20 p.m., Randolph Police received multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired and that a person had been shot in the area of 8 Sunset Dr.

Upon arrival, police located a 25-year-old Randolph man suffering from two gunshot wounds to the leg. The man was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. He does not live where the shooting occurred.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was targeted and that this was not a random act of violence.

The incident remains under active investigation and no additional information is available at this time. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Randolph Police Department at 781-963-1212.
