RANDOLPH — The Randolph Police and Fire Departments responded Friday evening when a vehicle travelled through several yards and struck a house on Julian Road.

On Friday, Dec. 12, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the Randolph Police and Fire Departments were called to 17 Julian Road for a report of a vehicle into a home.

First responders arrived to find a 46-year-old Randolph man trapped inside of a sedan that struck a home, causing significant damage to the home’s foundation and basement.

Firefighters freed the driver and provided first aid before the driver was transported by Randolph Fire Department ambulance to Boston Medical Center with injuries that appeared to be serious but non life-threatening.

A preliminary investigation determined that the driver was in a driveway at his home on Pine Road nearby, when his vehicle went out of control, travelled through yards, struck a statue, and then struck the side of the house at 17 Julian Road.

No one was in the home at the time, as it was undergoing renovations. The home suffered significant damage to the foundation and basement, and is now uninhabitable. Residents are staying elsewhere at this time.

An investigation into this crash remains ongoing. No additional information is available at this time.
