Article 65 – Annual Town Meeting of March 23, 1976
Section 1. Such sales are defined as the sale , or offering for sale, of ten or more items of personal property at any one residential premise, at any one time: excluding such sales as may be conducted by a bona fide charitable organization, religious or fraternal society or other tax exempt organization.
Section 2. Unless specific written authorization is given by the Police Department, not more than three (3) such sales shall be held on any one residential premises in each calendar year (calendar year is 01/01 of any year to 12/31 of that same year), and any such sale shall not continue for more than two (2) consecutive days. Yard sales not to be conducted before 8:00am or after sunset.
Section 3. As a condition precedent to any such sale, written permission for holding of said sale must be secured from the Police Department at least three (3) days prior thereto.
Section 4. Any person violating any of the provisions of the Article shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $25.00 for each offense. Each day that the violation hereof exists shall be deemed a separate offense.

AND ARE TO BE REMOVED PROMPTLY UPON COMPLETION OF SALE.
